Rock and Vine Book Launch Event | NYC Event Photographer | Events at 28on27

One of the things that I love most about being a photographer is the events/people/places I have the pleasure of shooting and what that interaction introduces into my life.  Whether its a writer, musician, DJ, bride, artist, child, or even a place, capturing these moments goes way beyond the photos, it brings me an experience, something to learn, something to see, and in some cases into the lives of my subjects.  At this event, I learned about an organization, a new culture of wine makers, and met two very inspiring people.

This past week I photographed a book launch party, A Royal Rock Night, in NYC for Rock and Vine by author and publisher Chelsea Prince and photographer Mary Steinbacher.  The event was held at 28on27 in Chelsea.  You can read more about this book on the website here: http://rockandvinebook.com

The event featured musical performance by the The Last Royals, an indie/pop Brooklyn duo composed of singer/songwriter Eric James and drummer Mason Ingram, who will be heading to SXSW soon.

Rock and Vine has teamed up with Wine to Water,  a non-profit organization focused on providing clean water to people in need around the world.  A portion of the proceeds from the book will go to this amazing organization.  Head over to the website to learn more about this project and the founder, Doc Hendley, and of course how you can help (drinking Wine to Water wine is one way, buying the book is another).
